PERSONAL DATA – GDPR.
The General Data Protection Regulation is a set of laws implemented by the European Commission from 25 May 2018 for all companies operating in Europe. At Gravipack, we are vigilant!
WHAT DOES THAT ACTUALLY CHANGE?
To protect Internet users from data leaks or the misuse of personal data, it is now mandatory for companies to keep visitors informed of all computer processing that is carried out of the data collected.
Like all e-merchants, we collect data on our Internet users and we work with several third party providers, who therefore have access to some of our data.
This data is essential to offer you the best possible experience on our site and to ensure the smooth processing of your order
We have nothing to hide, we want to be as transparent as possible, so we’ll tell you everything!
WHERE ARE THE GRAVIPACK SERVERS?
The servers of the GRAVIPACK website are exclusively with GANDI, in France, in datacentres in Ile de la France.
In these servers, you will find our database necessary for the operation of the site. Information about customer accounts is stored there.
To allow you to retrieve your order history, this data is only deleted if you request it.
WILL GRAVIPACK RESELL MY PERSONAL DATA?
No! And we never will!
Some companies exchange customer files for business prospecting purposes; this is not the case with Gravipack.
All the data we collect is ours and will never be given, rented or sold to a third party company.
ARE MY PASSWORDS SECURE?
Passwords are stored in “encrypted” form and cannot be decrypted. Your passwords are therefore secure.
AND MY BANK CARD NUMBER?
For payments by bank card, we work with one of the largest French service providers, Crédit Agricole, which is responsible for the security of your data. And American Paypal, the essential e-commerce guarantor.
At no time do we have access to your credit card number.
Our provider has many accreditations demonstrating the security of their computer system.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO YOU COLLECT FROM ME AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
When you create a customer account on our site, we record all the information necessary to place an order in our systems: your email address, first and last name, postal address and telephone number so that we can prepare and deliver your package.
This order data is forwarded to the various providers who work to ensure that your package reaches your home: our logistics specialist who prepares the package and the carrier who brings it to your home.
They have absolutely no right to use your data for anything other than to process your order and must delete this data from their computer system after it has been processed. These service providers store the data in data centres in Europe.
However, if you choose a delivery address outside Europe, it will necessarily be forwarded to the logistics services of the carrier who will deliver to you in that country.
If you have given us your consent, we also use your email address to send our information to you. Please note that if you do not want to receive these emails, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the newsletters or directly on the site in your my account / your personal data area. Effect is immediate.
The provider we use for our newsletters is French. As such, it guarantees maximum security in terms of data storage.
To constantly improve, we use software and services operated by third party providers to better understand our business. In this respect, we provide these tools with data on our customer database, your browsing history on our site and information on the products ordered.
Most of our tools are hosted in France or Europe.
Accordingly, all this data handled for statistical purposes outside Europe is completely anonymous.
Like most online traders, we record your visits and then display advertising to you when you visit other websites. This process does not handle any personal data and neither the advertising agency nor third party sites displaying our ads have access to your contact information.
If you no longer wish to see our ads, you can delete cookies from your web browser.
If you use Facebook to create your Gravipack account, we only collect your email, name, first name and Facebook profile ID.
We do not have access to your photos, friends list, publications, etc. We will never post on your page without your permission.
WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE OR DELETE THE DATA YOU HOLD ON ME?
Most data can be modified directly by you from your customer area on our website.
If you can’t find what you want, please write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org specifying your request.
